Art is one of my greatest passions, and I approach my work
with sincerity and enthusiasm.
In addition to years of self-taught practice, I studied
painting at the San Francisco Art Institute and at the
University of Granada in Spain. I also expand my skills
regularly with art and design workshops; the most recent
include a screenprinting workshop with San Francisco Bay
Area art professor Thomas Wojak, and an information design
workshop with Yale Professor Emeritus Edward Tufte.
I have worked on a number of independent projects in the
last several years. The most signifigant of these was
designing and independently producing my own line of
printed t-shirts. Also, in 2004, and again in 2005, I had
the honor of contributing a Web-based art piece to
Gothtober.com, an online Halloween countdown art calendar.
Other details about me: I was born and raised in the lush
vine-covered fields of Sonoma County, California (well,
technically, I was born in a hospital in Sonoma County, not
a field), and now live in the San Francisco Bay Area. My
interests outside the visual arts are writing sonnets,
studying languages (I have a bachelor's degree in
linguistics), baking tall cakes, roasting chickens, and
pruning rose bushes.
